Raw Indian Hair Disclaimer

Raw hair is real, unprocessed human hair, so it does not behave like factory made extensions. Here is exactly what that means for the hair you receive, written plainly so there are no surprises.

What Genuine Raw Hair Really Is

Adorable Raw Indian Hair supplies 100% authentic raw Indian hair bundles, unprocessed human hair collected from single donors at temples in South India. Because it is real human hair and nothing has been done to standardize it, every bundle carries the natural character of the person it came from. Slight differences in texture, color and thickness are not flaws. They are the proof that the hair is genuinely raw. This page explains those natural traits so you know what to expect before, during and after your purchase.

Color

The Natural Colors of Raw Hair

In its raw state, Indian temple hair falls within a natural range. It is never bleached or dyed to a uniform shade, so two bundles of the same texture can differ slightly in tone. That subtle variation is normal and expected.

LightenedBlonde, rare

Understanding Natural Variations

Because our hair is collected from individual donors, no two bundles are truly identical. You may notice natural differences in:

  • Color: from natural black to dark brown, with rare natural grey and lightened tones.
  • Texture: straight, wavy or curly, with small differences even within one texture.
  • Thickness: a slight variation in density from one bundle to the next.
Even straight hair can carry a soft natural wave, because the pattern comes from the donor, not a machine.

One Honest Exception: Jet Black

Raw hair in its natural state ranges from natural black to dark brown. A true, uniform jet black almost never occurs naturally, so to achieve that deep, even black our Jet Black Hair Extensions are professionally colored.

This is the only collection on our site that is colored rather than left raw. If you want a perfectly consistent jet black shade, this is the right choice. Every other collection we sell is 100% raw and uncolored, which is why it shows the natural tonal variation described above.

How We Measure Length

All our hair is measured when stretched, so the length on the label is the true length of the strand.

  • Hold the hair at the weft and stretch it to its full length.
  • Measure from the top of the weft to the very ends.
  • Curly and wavy hair looks shorter in its natural state because of the pattern, so it will spring up once installed.
Tip: if you want a finished curly look at a set length, order a longer bundle to allow for the natural shrinkage.

Weft Construction and Shedding

Our wefts are built to last, but some minimal shedding is normal with any wefted hair. To keep your wefts strong:

  • Avoid cutting the weft. If you must, seal the cut end with weft sealant to stop shedding.
  • Do not sew straight through the weft, as this can weaken it and cause unraveling.
  • Fold the weft when installing instead of cutting wherever possible.

Coloring, Bleaching and Heat

Because it is unprocessed, raw hair takes color like healthy natural hair. It can be lifted to lighter shades and even to a clean blonde by a professional, without the melting or breakage you get from processed hair.

  • Always use a licensed colorist for bleaching and lifting.
  • Heat style with a heat protectant, and keep tools at or below 450 F.
  • Coloring is done at your own discretion, and results depend on the starting shade of the natural hair.

Care and Maintenance

Raw hair lasts for years, but only if you treat it like your own hair, because that is exactly what it is.

  • Wash with a shampoo free from sulfates, and follow with a hydrating conditioner.
  • Deep condition regularly, especially curly textures, to keep bounce and definition.
  • Detangle gently from the ends upward, and limit heat to protect the natural shine.

Product Photos and What You Receive

The images on our website and social media show the general character of each texture and color. The exact bundle you receive may vary slightly in tone, wave and thickness.

We always aim for the closest match, but an exact replication of a specific photo cannot be guaranteed, because every donor is different.

Special Requests and Order Notes

You can add a texture or color preference in the Order Notes at checkout. We do our best to honor requests, but exact matches cannot be guaranteed due to the natural nature of raw hair. Not sure what to expect? Order a Sample Kit first.

Raw Hair vs Processed Hair

Raw hair and processed hair are meant to behave differently. Knowing which you want avoids disappointment.

Before You Buy

Raw hair needs the same care as natural human hair, with regular washing, conditioning and gentle detangling for long lasting results. If you prefer hair that is completely uniform in color and texture from bundle to bundle, then processed hair, or our colored Jet Black, may suit you better. If you want authentic, long lasting hair that behaves like your own, our raw Indian hair bundles are the right choice.
